Linquenda is one of the original farms, with the main house dating back to 1936. The premesis have been in the Domesle family since the 60’s, who with their staff Lia and Robert (still involved in the business) cultivated some of the first strawberries, selling them to foreign Embassies in Cape Town. One of the large adjoining farms, Mooiberge is known for selling / exporting / picking strawberries in the spring.
The guesthouses were established in 2002, by the new owners Pine and Christa Pienaar. Their well-known equestrian centre located on the primed 4 hectre smallholding has a modern country feel to it.
Pine and Christa pride themselves on the fact that it is an organically run smallholding with only their own water supply that sustain the self grown pecan nut trees and other fruits, with the chickens roaming free.
Activities such as hikes, mountainbike trails, birdwatching, horseriding (by arrangement), observing Koi in their natural environment, golf –10 courses in less than 30 minute drive (prebookings can be done on request) all on or close to the guest house.
Another unique experience to try would be a day trip to one of the 5 surrounding game farms in a 2 hour drive radius.
